Course Spotlight: September 2019

"[Uncertainty] will make you a better resource manager. If you feel like you have all the answers, that's probably not good. Don't be distressed about feeling uncertain, because that is the nature of this work."

Participants received these words of wisdom during last week's live discussion with Yale professor Dr. Amity Doolittle. During the session, participants reflected on land tenure and other social complexities surrounding their restoration and conservation work.

The group has been examining bias, community and stakeholder complexity, and other topics that are fundamental to implement conservation and restoration projects. Participants will now start exploring tools to go from understanding to engaging with stakeholders.
